Step by step

How to do the routine.

How to do Forearm stretch

Step 1 · 60 seconds

Forearm stretch

  1. Sit tall and extend one arm forward, palm up.
  2. Use your other hand to gently draw the fingers down and back toward you.
  3. Release and change sides.
Helpful cue

Keep your shoulder relaxed and your elbow soft.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, reduce the pressure on your hand and keep the wrist movement small.

How to do One arm hug standing

Step 2 · 60 seconds

One arm hug standing

  1. Stand tall and bring one arm across your chest.
  2. Use your opposite forearm to gently draw it closer.
  3. Release and repeat on the other side.
Helpful cue

Keep the stretching shoulder down and the elbow below shoulder height.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, loosen the arm position and keep your shoulders relaxed.

How to do Leaning calf

Step 3 · 60 seconds

Leaning calf

  1. Face a wall with your hands resting on it.
  2. Step one foot back, keeping the leg straight and heel down.
  3. Bend your front knee and lean gently toward the wall.
  4. Return and change sides.
Helpful cue

Keep both feet pointing forward.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, step closer to the wall and soften the stretch.

How to do Standing quad

Step 4 · 60 seconds

Standing quad

  1. Stand beside a wall or sturdy chair for balance.
  2. Bend one knee and hold that ankle behind you.
  3. Gently bring your heel toward your hips.
  4. Release slowly and change sides.
Helpful cue

Keep your knees close together and your torso upright.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, use a strap around your ankle so you do not have to reach as far.

How to do Side bend seated

Step 5 · 60 seconds

Side bend seated

  1. Sit tall with your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Raise one arm overhead and lean gently to the opposite side.
  3. Return to center and repeat on the other side.
Helpful cue

Keep both hips on the seat and avoid leaning forward.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, keep your hand on your hip and lean only a little.

How to do Seated figure four

Step 6 · 60 seconds

Seated figure four

  1. Sit near the front of a sturdy chair with feet flat.
  2. Place one ankle across the opposite thigh.
  3. Hinge forward gently from your hips.
  4. Sit up and change sides.
Helpful cue

Keep your back long and avoid pressing on the crossed knee.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, keep the crossed ankle farther from your body and sit taller.
