How to do Jumping jacks

Step 1 · 60 seconds

Jumping jacks

  1. Stand with your feet together and arms at your sides.
  2. Jump your feet apart as you raise your arms overhead.
  3. Jump back to the starting position and repeat.
Helpful cue

Land softly with knees slightly bent and keep a steady rhythm.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, step one foot out at a time instead of jumping and keep your arms lower.

How to do Air squats

Step 2 · 60 seconds

Air squats

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and toes slightly out.
  2. Push your hips back and bend your knees into a comfortable squat.
  3. Press through your feet to stand and repeat.
Helpful cue

Keep your chest lifted and your knees tracking with your feet.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, use a shallower squat and hold a stable support.

How to do Trunk twist

Step 3 · 60 seconds

Trunk twist

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and knees soft.
  2. Extend your arms to the sides.
  3. Turn your torso gently from side to side.
Helpful cue

Keep your movement controlled and avoid jerking at the end of each turn.

Make it gentler

For less intensity, make the turn smaller, soften your knees, and reach only partway.

How to do Toe touch twist

Step 4 · 60 seconds

Toe touch twist

  1. Stand with your feet wide apart and knees soft.
  2. Hinge forward and turn to reach one hand toward the opposite foot.
  3. Return to standing and repeat on the other side.
Helpful cue

Reach only as far as comfortable; touching your toes is optional.

Leg swings

  1. Stand beside a wall or sturdy chair and hold it for balance.
  2. Swing one leg gently forward and backward.

Knee hugs

  1. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart.
  2. Lift one knee and gently hold it toward your chest.
  3. Lower your foot and repeat on the other side.

Keep your torso upright and move slowly to stay balanced.

For less intensity, hold behind your thigh and bring the knee in only partway.

Knee circles

  1. Stand with feet together and knees slightly bent.
  2. Rest your hands lightly on your knees.
  3. Make small, slow circles with your knees, then reverse direction.

Arm swings

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and knees soft.
  2. Open your arms to the sides, then swing them gently across your chest.
  3. Repeat, alternating which arm crosses on top.
